Unit 9 · Project 1
Portfolio MP1
Assemble and present a mid-point portfolio of your strongest work from Units 1–5.
The mid-point portfolio is your first formal portfolio review. Select your 5 strongest pieces from Units 1–5 — one from each unit — and present them as a cohesive collection. For each piece, include the title, medium, unit, and a one-sentence description of what makes it your strongest work from that unit. The MP1 is presented to the teacher in a one-on-one review. Come prepared to talk about your choices.
Objectives
- 1Select 1 strong piece from each of Units 1–5 (5 pieces total)
- 2Prepare each piece for presentation: clean, titled, and labeled
- 3Write a one-sentence rationale for each selection
- 4Present in a one-on-one review with the teacher
Materials
- Your work from Units 1–5
- Portfolio folder or digital presentation
- Labels for each piece
Tips
- Choose work that shows your growth, not just your favorites
- A piece that challenged you and succeeded is more interesting than an easy win
- Be ready to explain your choices — 'I liked it' is not enough
- Presentation matters: clean, flat, properly labeled work reads as professional
