Unit 10 · Project 2Final Project

Final Exam

Comprehensive final exam covering all 10 units with written and practical components.

The final exam is comprehensive — it covers all 10 units of Imaging & Printmaking. The written section tests your vocabulary, conceptual understanding, and ability to analyze and discuss artwork. The practical section presents a new creative challenge that requires you to apply skills from across the year. Your portfolio may also be reviewed as part of the final assessment. This is your opportunity to show everything you've learned and grown into as an artist and image-maker.

Objectives

  • 1Review all vocabulary from Units 1–10
  • 2Review all major concepts, techniques, and processes from the full year
  • 3Complete written section: comprehensive vocabulary, analysis, and short essay
  • 4Complete practical section: timed creative challenge applying skills from across the year

Materials

  • Pencil and pen
  • All review materials
  • Full toolkit available (camera, carving tools, digital tools — as needed for practical)

Tips

  • Review your entire visual journal from the beginning of the year
  • Focus on the connections between units — how does photography connect to printmaking? How does design connect to both?
  • For the practical: read the prompt twice before starting, plan briefly, then execute
  • Your portfolio is your best evidence of growth — know it well enough to talk about it
